This piece uses silhouettes cut from mirror-like silver foil with matching silhouettes mounted at 90º to create shadows for each of the mirrored figures. The reflected colors and shadows vary depending on the angle of view and lighting. The title “Identities” obviously refers to the silhouettes, but also refers to the mathematical definition: an equation which is always true.
